Students in grades 6 through 8 participate in an instrumental program as part of the music curriculum. When students enter into grade 8 they are familiar with music theory, are capable of reading music, learn to play the hand chimes, and as a result of their vast knowledge they travel to Washington D.C. on a performance trip. Due to the numerous accolades the students have received they have had the opportunity to perform in Washington D.C. at The Old Post Office Pavilion, The Jefferson Memorial, The Women’s Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery and The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
