I have been in education on and off for over 25 years. I began my career as a Kindergarten teacher in 1996. Soon after, my husband and I married and grew our family. As a stay at home mom, I would volunteer my time at my children’s Catholic school. Before long I began to substitute again, including at St. Paul of the Cross, until I was blessed to be included as a part of the SPOC school community.
My favorite part about teaching is when you see that spark in a student’s eyes when they “get it.” I believe students should have many “spark moments” in the classroom through creativity, inquisition and collaboration. Not only am I blessed to be an educator, but I feel honored in helping grow my students’ Catholic Identity as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. I live for God, my family, and my school and parish communities. God is good.
