I have been a teacher for 18 years now, and I love this age group the most. I have always taught at faith -based schools, St. Mary of the Assumption, (Whittier) St Madeline’s, (Pomona) St. John of God, (summer school, Norwalk), and now finally I have found my forever home in St Paul Of the Cross. We know what we are building together, problem solvers who can be confident and use critical thinking, a child who is independent and self-regulating. We can work together to challenge and encourage your child in their academic journey while simultaneously growing in their faith. I believe your child is truly your biggest gift from God and your biggest investment, therefore, from the bottom of my heart I greatly appreciate the trust you have shown by allowing me and giving me the blessing of teaching your children. I love what I do and God willing will continue to teach with love and enjoyment. My philosophy has been. “If you love a child enough: you would want them to fly on their own, never clip their wings. And If I teach them well, they will not need me anymore and that is my end goal”. I will try my best to respect and understand the different situations that may appear while I am teaching, God wiling you will join our school community and see why we are the hidden gem of La Mirada.

Mrs. Quiros’ Mission Statement
I believe, God is the center of our day, with this belief and a partnership with parents we can begin to build a deeper faith foundation at school and at home.
I believe, through intentional and purposeful instruction, as a teacher I can promote strong social, emotional, and academic skills at the foundational stage of a young child’s academic journey.
I believe, by respecting the whole child, they feel safe and welcome. When we love school, we can learn. My goal is through fun and creative exploration, our day will be filled with fun, joy and learning.
